welcome, students of 2009
to ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) erectus, hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. the month is november, the year is 2009 and voldemort, harry potter and every other character mentioned in the series does not exist. the game will focus on students in their sixth and seventh year of hogwarts. picking newts, studying for exams, building memories and keeping friendships from turning sour from the pressure of peers and their looming future - these are the main worries of today's students. there will be no descendants of draco malfoy or luna lovegood. however, you are welcome to take their characteristics, please no carbon copies. all other stores, spells, objects and rules apply to the wizarding world. purebloods are a rarity and muggles are still around. but times have changed and they are no longer considered to be dirt (this won't stop some from thinking this, though). any electrical equipment is void within the castle grounds, this exempts ipods and the use of the internet inside hogwarts. the journals are hand written and connected via a magical link which enables students to interact. this also applies to aim, think of it as an instant message system via scraps of parchment. general pet rules apply; no tigers for example. any questions, direct them here.

before you apply please make sure you have read the rules. the only requirement is that you have a contact and friends only post up in your journal before you apply.

all holds will last until first adds (tbd), if you hold anonymously please return with the journal you intend to use within 24 hours or else your hold will be void. when you hold please state the year and house of your character, along with the pb. please make sure all pb's are age appropriate. we would also prefer to have no scene kids. no challenges are allowed. positions for quidditch, prefects and head girl/boy are all first come, first serve! for now, we are only allowing five boys and five girls for each house, but we might open up more slot if erectus is a big hit! remember to pimp in ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) rps and pbads!
